But immediately one job that stuck out to me which I feel that meets your criteria listed above is a narrative designer for the game-industry. Admittedly I do not know much about it, I believe it is a new role, but from what I have heard it is similar to what you have described desiring above – might be a good avenue for exploration?

You could do your writing, perhaps even use this as an in to the industry – and it can become this cyclical relationship feeding one another?
