Hi everyone! My name is Aleks. I’m from the Bay Area, California. I used to be a software engineer but quit my job a year ago to start a business with my friends. It was the most challenging thing I’ve ever done, and it has been my only focus for the past year, at the expense of everything else.

I’ve now finished the business, and just moved to New York City. I always thought I had a growth mindset but the last year’s challenges really shined a light on how far I still have to go. Although the business was successful, there were many times I let limiting beliefs and ego get in my way.

Now that I’m done and don’t have a job, fresh in a new city with all the time in the world, I feel like I have a blank slate. I’m hoping to get clarity on how to design my life from scratch in a way that makes me most fulfilled and happy. Specifically, I’d like to create a synergy between relationships/community/connection, (which I felt a lack of last year) and building something big and meaningful.
