I forgot to answer your question about finding my passion for lymphedema. It was kind of by accident helping a friend to set up her business fitting mastectomy patients with bras and prosthesis and discovering lymphedema as a bi-product of a lot of cancer treatments. My heart just went out to this group. They had beat cancer and now they were stuck with this chronic disease. It just seemed so unfair!

I was also wondering one of my best friends from high school married a de Jarnette from Georgia. Would you happen to have relatives down that way?
